In today’s society, it’s only natural for people to overanalyze themselves. We spend our whole lives on social media, comparing ourselves with everyone that crosses our path at some part or another. It’s not a very productive way to spend your time, but it does open your mind to the concept of trying to become a better person. While looking outwards to other people isn’t the correct way to go about it, you can achieve some great results if you decide to look inwards instead.
Once you can find the determining factors behind your behaviour and character, it’s easier to change or outright eliminate them. Let’s take a look at some things that can help you find the reasons why you are who you are.
Learning From Your Mistakes
Are you someone that learns from their mistakes or do you find yourself often stubbornly making the same mistakes over and over? If you’re trying to change who you are, there’s a very good chance that you should take a good look at how you deal with misfortune in life. While sticking to your chosen path can be an admirable feat for sure, don’t forget that the line between determination and stubornness can be freakishly thin.

Being Hopeful
It’s hard to create a better future for yourself if you don’t believe that there actually is a better future. Having hope, how small or how big it may be, is a very important factor if you want to change aspects of who you are. If you don’t believe you can change, you probably won’t.
