Last year was a big mess, but gamers worldwide rejoiced to hear they could get their hands on the next-gen consoles — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. However, when the release day came, people realized that there aren’t enough PS5s for everyone, thanks to the scalpers. New consoles mean new fantastic games, yet so far, it’s been “meh.” We got the Demons’ Soul remake, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and some tech demo games, and that’s it. But the future holds much hope, and we’re about to prove it!
Here are 10 most anticipated games for PS5!
Disclaimer: it’s a mix of exclusive and non-exclusive games, you’ve been warned.
1. Returnal
A spaceship pilot gets trapped on a hostile planet and has to fight off bizarre, deadly enemies. After each death, they return to the beginning of the loop, and the player’s task is to break this vicious circle.
Release date: April 30
2. Resident Evil Village
You’ve seen all the Lady Dimirtescu memes by now, you know what’s up. Vampires, ghouls, werewolves, and of course, the 9-feet-tall drink of icy water for all those thirsty boys and girls. It’s also a ResE game, so it will be cheesy and fun!
Release date: May 7
3. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
Remember one of the best 2019 games, FF7 Remake? It’s back with a Next-Gen update and some content to hold us over till the next part is out. In Intergrade, we’ll get to play as the adorable assassin Yuffie, and we’re all about it!
Release date: June 10
4. Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Kena looks visually amazing. The slightly cartoony and colorful creatures are going to win even the most callous hearts, while the nasty-looking enemies may leave you sleep-deprived. This is a fantasy adventure that raises serious topics and tells a story that is not as childish as it looks.
Release date: August 24
